Sjöstadshöjden,
2020 – ongoing

Tham & Videgård works on the planning for three office buildings in a new southern part of Hammarby Sjöstad in central Stockholm. This urban development will add 400 housing units and 4000 work places and aims to establish a link between the existing neighbourhoods in the Hammarby and Björkhagen districts.

T&V’s project is located along a steep cliff that separates two distinct levels in the landscape: an old urban and industrial carré structure at sea level and an elevated forested hill with multi family housing dating from the mid twentieth century. This allows for entrances from the main Hammarbyvägen boulevard as well as from the upper local street.

All three buildings will be mixed use with shops and services at street level and offices above. Souterrain and basement levels will be used for technical spaces, garage and a large bike parking-work shop. Facades are proposed in different shades of bricks with details in metal and solid wood.

Client: Humlegården Fastigheter. Built area: 28.000 sqm.
